“This is a beautiful place to visit. What a terrific view. And so much to do. Saw a seal pup with its tiny head popping out of the water. The kayaking here is great during the mid to late afternoon. If you are careful you can even lie down and relax.”

“What a great place to vacation! We love the view from Lakeside Cottage and enjoyed the cooler weather. Kayaking in the kayaks right here in the lake was great; the water lilies were in full bloom. Take the time to walk the length of Appalachee Road at night and listen to the frogs. Look up at the stars and down for the fireflies! Watch the moon rise over the pond. Walk down to the dock and see the canvasback ducks swimming under water.”

“Thoroughly enjoyed watching the lobstermen from the dock. Taking the kayaks out on the lake was really fun and relaxing. Appalachee Shores is a nice quiet community. We ate the sweetest best mussels and lobster of our lives this week! Mid-coast Maine is seafood paradise, that’s for sure! This has been a welcome escape from the searing dry heat of central Texas.”
